Beverly A. Kopsaftis

Beverly A. Kopsaftis, 89, wife of the late George C. Kopsaftis of Poestenkill, New York, passed away and Journeyed into heaven on Thursday, April 13, 2023 in East Greenbush New York.

Born February 9, 1934 in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of the late Elsie Sweet Cushman.

Beverly attended Lansingburgh high school. She later owned multiple restaurants with her husband including George's Rendezvous in Waterford, New York, The Mall restaurant in Troy, New York, Vic's Place in Averill Park, New York and Christo's in Pittstown, Nee York. She spent her "spare" time loving and raising her family.

Beverly is survived by son, Peter and his wife, Eileen of Pittstown, New York and daughters, Dawn of Poestenkill, New York and Elena and her husband, Darren of West Sand Lake, New York, and Daughter in Law, Gail Kopsaftis of Tigard, Oregon; grandchildren, Christopher of Poestenkill, New York, Brandon and Mikayla of West Sand Lake, New York, Brianna of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, Nikolas of Bath, Maine, Darren of Clifton Park, New York, Sarah and Aletia of Mesa, Arizona, Rebekah of Weare, New Hampshire, Robert of Watervliet, New York, Kristin of Beaverton, Oregon, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, George, Beverly was pre-deceased by her brothers, Kenneth and Charles, her sister, Patricia, her son, William, and her grandsons, William and Stephen.

Family and friends, May call, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 10:30 AM until 12 PM at Newcomer Cannon funeral home. 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY, 12189. Procession will leave from the funeral home at 12 PM to arrive by 1 PM for a service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871 where she will be interred next to George to spend eternity together.
Beverly is much loved and will be missed terribly by her family and friends. May she always rest easy in eternal peace.
