AVERILL PARK – Beverly Rose (Roberts) Farnan, 65, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital. She was a devoted wife, caring sister, loving aunt and a faithful friend.
Beverly fought a 19 year battle with breast cancer. In 1994 she was given 18 months to live and she never accepted it, but instead – fought the battle with everything she had and never acted defeated. Laughter was her healing.
Beverly was born on April 21, 1947 in Cohoes and was the daughter of the late Arthur G. and Jane T. (Redcross) Jones. She was employed by Troy Bilt Garden Way in Troy for 26 years in their collections department and then went to work for Doctors Lawrence and Judy White in Loudonville for 13 years as their office manager. She also was co-owner of Majestic Cleaning Pros with her husband for over 20 years and was an Avon Representative for over 30 years.
Beverly loved to laugh and always had a smile on her face. While at Garden Way she was actively involved in The Social Club planning events for the community. She loved bowling, camping, boating, and the NY Yankees. Beverly loved family and friends – always planning to attend some event. She was the absolute "Life of the Party". People were just drawn to her and her laugh was infectious! She was a very giving person, never looking for anything in return. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Beverly is the devoted and loving wife of Thomas E. Farnan and loving sister to Mary Ney and Arthur T. Jones (Linda) both of Cohoes and the late Barbara Ann Jones. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
