Blanche E. Wagner

Blanche E. Wagner, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug 11, 2012 at Maplewood Manor Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was born in Albany, NY to the late John and Agnes Edwards.

Blanche was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was her family. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Francis, George, Marge and Marcella Edwards.

Blanche is survived by her beloved husband of over 49 years, Paul Wagner, her cherished son Brian and his wife Maggie Wagner and she was the adored grandmother of Christian and Caleigh Wagner. She is also survived by her brother Charles Edwards and her dear friends Rosie Penn and Barbara and Bob Coughlin.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Maplewood Manor for all of the care and compassion given to Blanche. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made the Maplewood Manor Nursing Home, 149 Ballston Ave., Ballston Spa, NY 12020 in Blanche's memory.

Funeral service for Blanche will be Wednesday, Aug 15, 2012 at 11:00 am at the New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. The family will receive friends for calling hours on Tuesday, Aug 14, 2012 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Colonie.
