GUILDERLAND – Blase A. Regina, Jr. passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 13, 2013 working on assignment in Shanghi, China. He was born in Albany and lived in Guilderland for most of his life. Blase was a 1981 graduate of Guilderland High School. He spent four years in the US Marine Corps where he participated in the Color Guard. Blase was currently working for Atlas COPCO Corporation at the time of his passing. He was a Jr. Commander for the Marine Corps League, a member of the Altamont VFW and the American Legion, where he also served as color guard and a member of the Leathernecks Motorcycle Club. Blase drove sprint cars in ESS and belonged to the Voorheesville Rod & Gun Club.
Blase is the beloved son of Blase A. Regina Sr. and Diana (Regina) Wells and her husband, Verne Wells. He is the devoted father of Emma Jo Regina. Blase is the step-brother of Fred Wells. He is the loving nephew of Mary, Carmela, Prosper, John, Carol, and the late Gloria. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to Atlas COPCO Corp. and close family members and special friends for working so diligently to get Blase home and for all of their assistance in this most difficult time.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
