Bonnie J. Viola

ALBANY, NY – Bonnie J. Viola, 59, passed away at home on Sunday, September 6, 2009, after a brief illness. She was born in Queens, NY and was the daughter of the late John and Marna (Tanchak) Austin. She had resided in Albany for most of her life. Bonnie was currently working for New York State Dept. of Taxation & Finance for over twenty years. She is the beloved mother of Christine Viola and Kevin Kowalchyk. She is the wife of Richard Viola. Bonnie is the cherished grandmother of Brianna, Stevie, Jared, Da'neyia and Dione. She is the loving sister of Barbara (Pat) Bonneau, Linda LoCiero, Michael Alund, Laurie D'April and the late Nancy Austin and Daniel Alund.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday t 6:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service from 5:0 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Bonnie J. Viola.
