COLONIE – Bonnie Jean Murphy of Colonie, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2008 at her beloved sister, Mary Jo's home in Colonie. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late William T. and Marijean G. (Stack) Murphy.
Bonnie Jean graduated cum laud in 1973 from SUNY Albany and then received her masters in 1984. She worked as a clerk for the NYS Comptrollers Office and was a member of CSEA. She was an avid reader, enjoyed ballets and the theater, she held a brown belt in Judo and she loved her dogs.
Bonnie Jean is survived by her devoted sisters, Pamela A. Murphy, Mary Jo Humphrey and Regina M. (Stephen) Kasper all of Colonie; her loving brothers, Patrick J. (Susan) Murphy of West Milford, NJ, William P. (Dee) Murphy of East Schodack and Matthew J. (Tracey) Murphy of Malta; her cherished nieces, Danielle Humphrey, Nicolette (Jeff) VanHoesen, Lindsey Humphrey, Jordan Groncki, Gabrielle Kasper and Jennifer (Laszlo) Koller; and her loving nephews, Sean (Angela) Murphy, Kyle Murphy and Brian Murphy.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 8:15 at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Clare's Church at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
