ALBANY – Boyd F. Crawmer, 82, died on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the Kingston Hospital after a long illness.
Boyd was born on January 27, 1927 in Troy and was the son of the late William and Irene (McDonald) Crawmer. He served in the US Navy during WWII and the US Air Force during the Korea War. He enjoyed listening to classical music, watching the NY Mets and NY Giants and taking long walks.
Boyd is survived by his loving daughter, Maria and son-in-law, Richard La Chance, Jr. of Albany; his grandson, Felix Delmoral III of Middletown, NY and his sister, Irene Dingman of Cary, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, William Crawmer and his sisters, Elizabeth Murphy and Charlotte Vallenlunga.
Boyd's family would like to thank the staff at Albany Medical Center Hospital and the Kingston Hospital for all their care and support.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will precede the service from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
