Brad Shires, 33, passed away on January 14, 2015 at his home. He was born on October 5, 1981, to Connie Shea and James Shires.
Brad enjoyed playing Magic and was a pillar of the Magic Community; he took pleasure in cooking; listening to music and spending time with his family and friends. Brad had a sense of adventure, which he fulfilled by traveling and seeing new places.
He was employed with NYS, Department of State where he loved helping people. He was caring and always put others first, his smile will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Brad is survived by his loving soul mate and best friend, Brittney Pone, his favorite sister, Natalie Shea, his brother Michael Shires, his step father, Brian Shea, his nana, Shirley Walker and grandma Aggie Payton, he is also survived by his nephew Nicholas Shires, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 15 Tech Valley Drive, Ste. 4 East Greenbush, NY 12061 in Brad's memory.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 6:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family
