Brenda Mae Robinson, 67, passed away after a long battle with cancer, on Saturday, Mar 30, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital, with her family by her side. She was born in Troy, and is the daughter to the late Franklyn and Mabel Hyde.
Brenda was happily married to her loving husband of over 48 years, Jim Robinson who passed away last June. Her greatest love in life was family gatherings and cooking for her grandchildren and family. Brenda was also predeceased by her brothers; Frank, Jack and Clifford Hyde and her sisters; Kathleen Zayachek, Dorothy Iacketta and Patricia O'Bomsawin and her special sister-in-law Jeanne Hyde and an infant granddaughter Haley.
Brenda is survived by her beloved children, Jim Jr. (Nancy), Shelley (Karl) Wahrlich, Tim, Tom (Jewel), her eight dearly loved grandchildren, Karl (Andrea), Kris, Shannon Wahrlich; Corey, Erin, Justin, Melissa and Lily Robinson. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers, Herbert (Barbara) Hyde, Jan (Tom) Roberts, Bonnie (Chuck) Mattoon; her brother-in-law Jack Robinson and his wife Barbara and Andy O'Bomsawin and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the entire staff on the oncology wing at St. Peters, and also a special thanks to Dr. Savage and Dr. Morrissey for all of their support, care and compassion given to Brenda.
Funeral service for Brenda will be on Friday at 10:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
