Brett Bigelow

Schenectady- Brett William Bigelow, 62, passed away suddenly on June 27, 2024. Brett was born on April 30, 1962, the son of William and Nelly (Bertrand) Bigelow.

Brett was predeceased by his mother, Nelly Bigelow-Hutchison.

He is survived by his loving wife Rosemary Bigelow, and his three daughters: Michelle Araujo, Alicia (Max) DeSieno and Kylie Bigelow, his father William “Bill” Bigelow, his sister Karen Bigelow-Varney, his two granddaughters Gabby and Brayana, a recent great granddaughter and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

A fun-loving man Brett was quick with a joke and loved to laugh, his zest for life was palatable. He was outgoing, engaging and enthusiastic about his many loves: books, comics, casinos, Harleys, fishing, pets and most of all his family. He loved to meet new people and take on new adventures. Hardworking and entrepreneurial he started businesses that reflected his many interests. His inviting personality allowed him to create a wide network of friends through his gift for building connection and relationships with everyone he encountered. Brett’s energy, joy and laughter will be deeply missed.

A celebration of his life will be planned for later in the summer as the family determines.
