Brian M. Groncki

Brian Groncki, a longtime resident of Rotterdam, passed away in his home on August 11, 2021 at the age of 67. He was born in Schenectady. He is predeceased by his father, Edward Groncki , and his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Ross Truscello.

He leaves behind his sister Lani and brother Dave, nieces, nephews, cousins and a lifetime of friends. He will be greatly missed.

Brian attended the Christian Brothers Academy and Mohonasen High School. That was the beginning of many cherished memories for Brian and his friends.

At one point, he moved to Virginia where he was a Housing Development Superintendent. And later moved back to Schenectady where he worked as a locksmith.

Brian was a diehard Redskins fan. But the most important thing in his life was his dog Crystal. He also loved the outdoors, especially when he was fishing and camping. He was a believer in god and a member of St. Gabriel's Church.

There will be a graveside service for Brian on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at the Schenectady Memorial Cemetery, on Gifford Church Road, at 10:00 am.
