Brian Springer

Rotterdam- Brian Springer left this world on April 24, 2024 after fighting a hard courageous battle with cancer. He died at home with his wife at his side at the age of 66. He graduated from Mohonasen High School in 1975. Brian had many jobs but ended up driving tractor trailer for Ryder before his illness. Brian proudly served in the United States Air Force and loved his country. He enjoyed boating, camping, barbecuing with his family, going to the casino, and he loved Budweiser.

He leaves behind his wife and best friend Jacqueline "Jackie" of 30 years. He is also survived by his devoted son Brian Eric which every morning he called him and said "Where you be". He will also be missed by his step sons Ian O'Brien (Tara) and Stuart O'Brien (Maria). He was a proud grandfather of Destiny and Liam Springer, Greyson , Eoin, and Tiernan O'Brien. He is also survived by his brothers Gary Springer (Jacquelyn), Dennis Springer and Kevin Springer (Robin) and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents Ellis and Winifred Springer as well as his daughter Monica Springer and step son Georgie O'Brien.

He will be missed by everyone who knew him, he was a great guy.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice, they were like angels from heaven especially Peter for going above and beyond. Thank you for your prayers.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 10am-12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A service will begin at 12pm with interment following at Memory Gardens.
