Bridget T. Curley

Bridget T. Curley, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at home, with her loving family at her side.

She was predeceased by her husband, James and all of her siblings. She was born in Toorsaleen County Kerry, Ireland. Bridget was the daughter of the late Timothy and Hannah (Foley) O'Connor.

There were eight loving brothers and sisters in her family. She came to America in 1947 at the age of 22 to start a new life for herself. She initially worked and lived in NYC and enjoyed her time there. On a vacation to the Catskills, she met James Curley who later would become her husband.

They moved to Albany and would have three children, Kieran (Theresa) Curley, Kathleen (Rocco) Spinelli and James (Ute) Curley, who grew up in a loving home and her family was most important to her.

She was proud of her grandchildren, Amy (Kevin) Spinelli Docherty, Rocco and Caitlin Spinelli, Caroline (Ben) Curley Esparza and Liam Curley. Bridget had a large extended family that was spread far and wide with many wonderful nieces, nephews , cousins and their families. She enjoyed being with all of them.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY on Friday December 21, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. All are invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday December 22, 2018 at 9:00 am for a prayer service and then to Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Albany, NY 12210 where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208, in Bridget's memory.
