Brittany Prater, 28, entered into eternal life to be with her late beloved mother Robin D. Brevard Prater on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.
Born in Troy, Brittany is the daughter of Alfred M. "Al" Prater of Troy and Robin.

Brittany was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 2009. She completed a course in Cosmetology at Capital Regions BOCES program. She had been employed at Cumberland Farms.

Brittany was a dog lover. The late Peewee and Chula brought her unmeasurable joy.

She was a member of the Charisma Dance Team which was established by her mom. While at Troy High School, she was also a member of the Drill Team that her mom also coached. Her hobbies and talents included a fluent speaker of Spainsh and softball.

In addition to being survived by her father, "Al" / "Prate" (wife, Jean L.), she was the loving sister of Kindra Prater and Xavier Prater. Cherished aunt of Leila Mitchell, Jaiden Prater, Xavier Prater, Jr. and Uriah Prater. Long time Partner of Joe Reed, also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and all of their families, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A Time of Sharing will be held at 6:00 pm.
