Bruce A. Snyder, 66, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Bruce was the son of the late Alton Snyder and Loretta Mitchell.
Bruce was a CNA at various facilities throughout his life. He was a faithful NY Yankee and NY Giants fan. He loved to read and enjoyed watching Channel 9 News and SCI-FI Channel. He was a true fan of The Walking Dead. Bruce loved his peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and his black sweet cherry ice cream every evening.
Bruce is survived by his children, Catrina (Richard) Bradner, Cassandra (Marshall) Whittaker, and Bruce Snyder, Jr., of Virginia, Crystal and Josh Snyder of Indiana; grandchildren, Owen, Zoey and Ivee Bradner, LeeAnn and Tori Martin, Kaylie and TayLynn Snyder; his loving siblings, Patricia Lewis, Linda Carhart (Art), Achilles Brown, Guy Brown (Danielle), Mona Lisa Watson (Richard DeJesus), Edith (Peanut), Mary (Sissy), Juanita (Cookie), Alton (Bubby), Norman (Richie), Gloria, Margaret (Margie), Carol, Bonnie, Terri. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, Herman (Laura) Harris, Julius Perez, Jordan Igoe, Loretta (Luvie) Thompson, Quay Weir, Monet-Elysea DeJesus, who will miss her special uncle; a host of great and great great nieces and nephews, Jessica-Lynne, Joseph, Milton, Jr., Dane, Justin, Ryan, Hunter, Brendan, Courtney, Joe, Aaliyah, Julianna, Amarilynne, So'leia-Corinne, Noah, Dane, Jr. He is also survived by many friends, especially his close friend, Artie, who will miss him dearly and his buddy, JR. Bruce will be greatly missed by Lynn Murphy with whom he shared a special relationship.
Bruce is predeceased by his brother, Eddie; his grandson, Tyler and his nephew, Milton.
Visitations will be at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 6:30 pm.
