Byron George

January 30, 1930 — November 4, 2013

Latham – Byron D. George, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday November 4th. Born in Honolulu, HI he was the son of the late Alexander and Marion George.

Byron courageously served our country during The Korean War with The United States Air Force. After the war, Byron graduated from The University of Tennessee, and went on to become the Vice President of Info Search Prentice Hall Legal. Byron was a proud member of The Watervliet Elks B.P.O.E. #1500, and VFW Post # 729.

Byron is survived by his wife of 51 years, "Sam" Eleanor George, and their children; Kathleen George, Keith (Cara) George, Michael George, and Jordan George. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Brianna and Steve.
Donations may be made in Byron's name to The American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Ln. Latham, NY.

A memorial service for Byron will be held on Saturday November 9th at 2:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
