Caitlin Elizabeth Clancy

GUILDERLAND – Caitlin Elizabeth Clancy, 18, passed away suddenly from complications of diabetes, on Monday, February 17, 2014 in Rochester, NY while attending her second semester at SUNY Brockport. She was in the Nursing Intent Living Learning Community, and her favorite classes were Nutrition and English-Creative Writing.

Caitlin was born on October 31, 1995 in Albany and is the beloved daughter of David and Maura (Finin) Clancy of Guilderland. She is the loving sister of Molly and Patrick Clancy. She is the cherished granddaughter of Lavina Elizabeth (Reedy) Finin and the late William G. Finin and the late John F. and Margaret L. (Donnelly) Clancy III. She is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; her longtime boyfriend, Connor Berg; her Brockport family, the McFam's; and many high school friends.

Caitlin graduated from Guilderland High School Class of 2013. She was a social butterfly who enjoyed oystering, clamming, and sailing on the Cape, cooking, hanging out with friends in Lake George, and spending time relaxing with family and friends. She was our beautiful little chatterbox; friendly, outgoing, full of energy, stubborn, and silly. She had a precocious intuitiveness, and a celebrated capricious spirit that was unmatched. She loved her family, friends and her dogs, Bluebell and Maggie. She always had a smile on her face.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave., Guilderland where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Interment will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
