GLENMONT- My Dad, Carl D. Barkman 58, of Siesta Key FL., left this world on Sunday, May 8, 2011 with his family by his side.
He was born July 12, 1952 in Greenville, NY and is the son of Louise St. Lawrence and the late Carl L. Barkman. Carl was a 1970 graduate of Greenville Central School. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagle and the Lions Club. Dad was an adventurous spirit, avid traveler, excellent cook, master craftsman and awesome Faja.
He will be forever missed by his daughter, Rachael, mother, stepmother, stepfather, six siblings and the rest of the nagging family who made him crazy but whom he loved dearly.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 14th at 2 pm at Barkman Farms Pond, Rt 9W, Glenmont. Immediately following is a party celebrating his awesomeness as per Dad's request, BYOB top-shelf only. In lieu of flowers. we request a charitable donation of your choice in Carl's name.
