Carl David Van Bergen , 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2015.
Carl was the son of the late Milton and Agnes (Clark) Van Bergen and the devoted husband to the late Darlene (Valyou) Van Bergen.
Carl was employed with Amtrak for over 26 years until his retirement. He enjoyed NASCAR and watching his grandson race go-carts.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Carl was predeceased by his son, Scott Van Bergen.
Carl is survived by his children; Debra Hope, Carl (Diane) Van Bergen Jr., Suzanne (Dan) Robidoux and Kristy Van Bergen. He is also survived by several grandchildren and many close family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice Foundation 2958 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144 for Hospice of Schenectady County.
A Graveside service will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford, NY.
