ALBANY – Carlene G. Dorsey, 84, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Hudson Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Carlene was born on July 6, 1929 in Albany, Carlene was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Bruce) Dorsey. She was also predeceased by two sisters and five brothers.
She worked for Dorsey's Tavern and was an assistant to the Sisters of Mercy. She also worked at Gilmore's, The Devil's Inn, and the Taj Mahal.
She was a devoted mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and great aunt.
Carlene is the mother of Joseph (Nancy) Woods Sr. and the late Lloyd and Emmett Woods. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tracy Woods, Lloyd Woods Jr., Trini Woods, Emmett Lee Woods II, Shannon (Sherine) Woods, Lashana (Derome) Bellamy, Joe Joe Woods Jr., Elonda (Alkareem) Leigh, Navree (Garett) Turner, Tamara Woods, and Stefanie (Woods) Berglas. She is also survived by a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, September 25th, 2013 at Mother Teresa's Community Church, 74 Second Ave., Albany.
