Carlo P. Carlino, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, Guilderland, surrounded by his loving family.
Carlo was born in NYC, NY and was the son of the late Carlo and Marie Antoinette (Muccio) Carlino.
He proudly served with the National Guard for over 12 years.
He worked for W.H. Smith Paper in Albany for over 44 years and also for
Swinburne Park in Albany for over 10 years.
He enjoyed spending time with family, and his grandchildren. He loved watching westerns, the New York Yankees and playing BINGO with his friends at the Omni Senior Living Community.
Carlo is survived by his sons, Carlo (Linda), John Sr. (Jean), and Daniel Sr. (Dawn); his daughter, Ann Marie; his daughter-in-law, Sandra; his grandchildren, John (Eileen), Joseph (Julie), Daniel Jr., Lisa (Dominic), Francesca (Nicholas); his great-grandchildren, Gianna, James, Nicholas, Michael, Emily and David, his cousin Benjamin (Connie) Carlino; brother-in-law to Eleanor Asprion, Vernon (Barbara) Richburg, Janet Richburg, Susan Schultz and many other close family members.
He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Helen Carlino; his son, James Carlino.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144 in Carlo's memory.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am. on Monday, October 26, 2015 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
