Carlo R. Fiscarelli, 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Carlo was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Carlo and Mary Fiscarelli. Carlo proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Carlo played football for his high school and continued playing for the Marine Corps. He worked for over 30 years as a Labor foreman with McFarland Co. in Albany. He also enjoyed fishing with his brother, Anthony and watching the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. In addition to his parents, Carlo was predeceased by his beloved brother, Anthony Fiscarelli.
Carlo is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Kathryn (Vaillancourt) Fiscarelli; his children, Carlo J. Fiscarelli, Donna Lamountain, Mark (Terri) Fiscarelli, Michael Fiscarelli, Lori (Scott) Simpson, Nicholas Fiscarelli and Lisa K. (Gino) Savona. He is the brother of, Connie (Jack)Tunny, Nicholas Fiscarelli, Rita Fiscarelli and Rose Marie (Norman) Pawlewski. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Community Hospice of Schenectady, especially Lisa DellaVilla and Sonia Fyvie for all of their care and compassion shown to Carlo and his family at their time of need.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 at the funeral home. Interment will follow on Saturday at 9 am at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice in Carlo's memory.
