Albany- Carmela M. Grieco, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the age of 103, at the Teresian House Nursing Home.
Born on May 14, 1914 in Albany, a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Gallo Pacella. Carmela attended Mildred Elley School and then went on to be the Group Chief Operator for the New York Telephone Company for 16 years. She was a retired Stenographer for the New York State Dept. of Motor Vehicles for 39 years.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Genevieve R. Wiech; granddaughter, Marianne Lenseth (Tom); grandson, Robert John Wiech (Donna Marie); 8 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother. Carmela was predeceased by her husband, Augustine A. Grieco; 4 sisters and 1 brother
A Mass of Christian Burial for Carmela will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Teresian House Nursing Home, 200 Washington Ave. Ext, Albany, NY, 12203. Burial will immediately follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
