Carmela T. Andriano

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL. – Carmela T. Andriano, 83, formerly of Albany, passed away at her residence in Florida on Thursday March 4, 2010. She was born in Troy and was the daughter of the late Quirino and Theresa Sapino Sonsini.
Carmela was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and the Mildred Elley Business Institute. She was a bookkeeper and worked most recently with the County of Albany.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Vincent S. Andriano; her children, Linda Andriano Halloran, Diane Cramer and Teresa Ellis. She is the sister of Frances Sonsini, Thomas Sonisini and the late Robert & Gregory Sonsini. Carmela is the cherished grandmother of Gregory Cramer, Kristina Cramer and Patrick Ellis.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 8:15 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to Historic St. Mary's Church on Capitol Hill at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 10360 S. Federal Highway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952 in memory of Carmela T. Andriano.
