Carmella A. Squires

Rotterdam – Carmella A. Squires passed away Sunday April 12th 2015 with her family by her side. Carmella was the daughter of the late Marco and Dora (Palmieri) Gabriele.

Carmella was a graduate of the Mount Pleasant High School in Schenectady. She co-owned with her sister Mary DiClemente Hollywood Cleaners on Broadway in Schenectady, NY until her retirement. Carmella loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing dice games with relatives and friends. Carmella had a love for all animals especially her Shih- Tzu, Pumpkin who was always by her side and her cat, Donnie. Carmella was loved by everyone whom she met and will be missed by all of her relatives and friends.

Carmella is predeceased by her husband, Edward W. Squires Sr and her children Kathy Lenegar Squires and Mark E. Squires.

Carmella is survived by her sister; Mary DiClemente and her children; Shelley M. Squires (Bob Faragon), Ed Squires Jr. (Jen) and Melody A. Oropallo (Brad); grandchildren: Lisa Weller, Michelle Oropallo, Jason Squires, Tom Squires, Leah Squires, Kayla Squires, Jessica Squires, Carmen Squires, Sabrina Squires, Nate and Noah Mansky. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Friday, April 17th 2015 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, NY 12205. A funeral service will be held Saturday April 18th, 2015 at 10:00am at New Comer Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Schenectady Memorial Park on Gifford Church Rd. in Rotterdam.
