Albany- Carmella "Millie" (Libertucci) Breen, 90, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 17, 2017. Born in Amsterdam, NY on May 10, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Theresa (Catello) Libertucci. She was married to William Breen, he predeceased her in 1992. Millie worked for Key Bank for many years until her retirement. She was a dog lover, enjoyed vacationing in Cape Cod and the Jersey Shore with her family. Her favorite pastimes were swimming, bowling and playing bingo. Millie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was an active member of the former St. James Church in Albany where she was a volunteer at the food pantry.
Millie is survived by her daughters: Geraldine (Randy) DeBacco and Gail (Doug) Rubinstein; her grandchildren: Brandon, Jack, Harry, Ben and Lucy; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her infant daughter, Joan Cabrini, her sister, Rose Marie Mirabile and her brother Peter Libertucci.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Wesley Health Care Center, especially the staff on 2 Hathorn for their loving and compassionate care.
Visitation will be from 5 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, October 19 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am on Friday, October 20 at St. Francis of Assisi Church (Former St. James), Delaware Ave, Albany. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
