Carmella Hauser

ROTTERDAM - Carmella Hauser, 70, wife of late Joseph W. Hauser III, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2023, at her home in Rotterdam, surrounded by loving family and friends.

Born on February 25, 1953, in Albany NY, Carmella was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Salvatora Gitto.

Carmella was a senior account clerk for BOCES for 25 years. Within that time, she made many lasting friendships. Carmella enjoyed spending time with family more than anything. She loved to travel at any opportunity. She enjoyed playing games, shopping, craft fairs, gardening, 50's music and making new friends. Most of all, Carmella enjoyed being a mother and grandmother. After her retirement she dedicated her time to helping her daughters raise their children. Her world lit up when her four grandchildren were nearby. She always made them feel like they were the center of her universe.

Carmella is survived by her daughters, Stacey (Michael) Paolino and Trisha (Josh) Homer and their children, Jacob & Luke Paolino and Kylie & Anna Homer, along with their fur baby Louie. She is also survived by her siblings, Margaret Bennett, Rose (Bob) Decker, Cosimo (Mary) Gitto, Joseph (Theresa) Gitto as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Joseph, she was predeceased by her siblings, Ephania Gitto, Catina Gitto, and Anne Brzuszkiewicz.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, August 16 from 10:00-12:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals at 343 New Karner Road Colonie NY, 12205. Her Funeral ceremony will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m.
