Carmen Lydia Cassaro

SCHENECTADY - Carmen Lydia Cassaro, aka "Bubba" 70, has peacefully transitioned from this life to her eternal glory on December 18, 2022.

Lydia was born on February 19, 1952 in New York, NY and was the daughter of the late Antonio and Petra (Suarez) Morales Sr.

Lydia was quite the human being. She worked as a unit secretary at AMC D5E. From there she moved onto the Desmond Hotel as a hostess until 2009. Lydia was known for her scare pranks, her singing Cher with her remote control. Her favorite was scaring "Bob". Those who knew here loved her endlessly for the kindness, the love and the non-judgmental demeanor - this is why Lydia will be missed and Is Loved!

Lydia loved to skate, she also enjoyed dancing salsa with her sister's at any party. She loved breakfast every morning at Denny's. She also enjoyed her scratch off's "Treasure Hunt"! And of course Bingo.

Lydia has left her mark on everyone she met in her lifetime.

Lydia is survived by her longtime partner of 34 years and the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Ward; daughter, Wanda Columbo Diaz; grandchildren, Jessica Hallenbeck and Giovanna Witsie; and great grandchildren, Sophia Torres and Christopher Torres Jr. Sister of Norma Damascos, Nel Cole, Antonio Morales Jr. and the late Milagros Morales Cortez and Berma Lizzette Guidicelli. Nephews, Stephen "Her Son" Perez and Robert Perez and many other nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Calling hours will be Friday, December 23, 2022 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with a service at 6:00 pm.
