COLONIE- Carmen DeSieno, 89, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018.
Carmen was born on June 7, 1929 to the late John and Josephine DeSieno in Schenectady, NY. Carm served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1948-1952. He went on to marry the love of his life, Louise DeSieno. They were married for 65 years until her passing in 2015. Together they raised three children. Carmen worked as a barber at Crosstown Barber Shop, in Colonie, NY, which he owned until his retirement. He worked until he was 72. Carm will be remembered for his love of golfing and bowling. His passion in life was his family, especially his grandchildren.
Carmen was predeceased by his beloved wife of 65 years, Louise, his brother, Arthur DeSieno, and his sister, Carol DeSieno.
He is survived by his children, Mike (Kimberly) DeSieno Sr., Kathy DeSieno Fisler, Bob DeSieno, grandchildren, Cheyenne (Stacy) Smith, Brandi (Michael) Crosby, Mike (Linda) DeSieno Jr., Katelin DeSieno, great-grandchildren, Dylan Crosby, Chase Crosby, Chloe Crosby, Caleb Crosby, and Dylan DeSieno.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Thursday, January 3, 2019, from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 4, 2019, at 11:30am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church of Schenectady, 1255 Pleasant St, Schenectady, NY 12303. Burial will be held at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville, NY.
