SCOTIA- Carmen T. Kingsley, age 88, passed away surrounded by her family on April 11, 2024 at her residence.
She was born in Plattsburgh, the daughter of the late Manulita and Arnold Brusseau. She was also predeceased by her husbands, Gilbert Edmonds and Royal Kingsley and her sister Miss Ellie Foschee.
Carmen retired as a CNA from Sunnyview Rehabilitation Center. She was in the choir and was a volunteer at St. Adalberts. She was known for her generosity and donations to family, friends and foundations, and especially for her homemade apple pies, cheesecake and delicious rum balls.
She is survived by her children: Robert Edmonds and Carol Nazir; her grandchildren: Sakeena and Shakeele; and her sisters: Nancy and Francis. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Thursday April 18, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Adalbert, 550 Lansing Street, Schenectady, NY 12303 on Friday April 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
