Carol A. Grzybowski

GUILDERLAND – Carol A. Grzybowski, 60, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2009 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was born on May 9, 1949 in Gloversville and was the daughter of the late Jean V. (Lavalla) and John H. Blanchard Sr. She worked as a secretary for over 30 years for New York State, lastly retiring from SUNY Albany. She enjoyed gardening, horses, animals, and had a love for nature, especially the Adirondacks.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, David A. Grzybowski; her devoted daughters, Tammey (Charles) Manderville of Rotterdam and Amy L. (David) Dussault of Niskayuna; her cherished grandchildren, Blaire Manderville and Owen Dussault; her sister, Joni Blanchard of Spokane, WA; her brothers, Jack (Mira) Blanchard of Troutman, NC, Raymond (Denise) Blanchard of Robinsville, NJ, Richard (Anne) Blanchard of Niskayuna, and William (Shirley) Blanchard of Brookfield, MA and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm Tuesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Colonie). A calling hour will precede the service from 4:00 to 5:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Carol A. Grzybowski.
