ALBANY – Carol A. Coler Van Derwerken, 73, of Albany passed away on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Albany Memorial Hospital. She was born in Albany and had owned and operated the Beauty Bazaar in Albany for forty years.
Carol is the loving daughter of Marie R. Coler and the late John G. Coler. Carol is the beloved sister of Ronald (Audrey) Coler of Troy and the late John G. Coler II. She is the devoted aunt of Diane Cubit, Charles Coler, Jennifer Coler, John G. Coler III and Tyler A. Coler. She is the niece of Caroline Hallenbeck and the cousin of Keene Hallenbeck.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 9:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Monday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 99 Troy Rd., East Greenbush, NY 12061 in memory of Carol A. Van Derwerken.
