Carol A. Baer, 81, of Greenfield Center passed away peacefully at St. Peters Hospital in Albany, September 5th after a brief illness. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Emery and Cecile Page Letendre.
Carol was a graduate of Averill Park Central School, class of 1961 as the only "Mrs." graduate in her class to Lloyd N. Brown. She later attended school for dental hygiene, and subsequently managed a dental office. Carol resided in New Smyrna Beach, Florida for many years before moving to Greenfield Center after the birth of her beloved grandson, Nicholas. She enjoyed family get togethers, parties, picnics and ocean trips. She also cared for many feline companions throughout the years.
Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her son David L. Brown, (Vicki) and brothers, Kenneth, Donald and Robert Letendre.
She is survived by her sister, Joyce Grimes of Wimberly, Texas, daughter, Lisa M. Brown (Robert Laurenzo) of Stillwater, son Matthew E. Brown (Laura) of Scotia and her Grandson, Nicholas Casterlin of Schuylerville, as well as many nieces and nephews and her feline companion, Krystal. According to the wishes of Carol, there will be a private family ceremony.
