Schenectady- Carol Marie Borden, 78, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017. Carol was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Wickenhiser and was the devoted wife of 30 years to the late Harold P. Borden Jr..
Carol was born and raised in Lynn Massachusetts, and so was a die hard Red Sox fan. In her younger years, Carol enjoyed camping with her family. She enjoyed sewing, time spent with family, and was also an avid reader. Carol was a loving "Grandma" to everybody, and will be dearly missed.
Carol is survived by her children, Harold "Rusty" (Sally) Borden III, Janet Tanis, and Beverly (John) Henderson, sister, Barbara Gowie, grandchildren, James (Robin) Dutcher III, Jennifer (Tom) McGinnis, Amanda Borden, Eric Borden, and Ethan Tanis, niece, Ellen (Thomas) Yunker, four great grand children, along with many loving nieces, and nephews.
The burial will take place privately by the family at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie. A memorial service will be held at Christ Church in Guilderland on April 29th, 2017 at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Carol's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
