Carol Coleman

Guilderland - Carol (Hines) Coleman, 83, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 29, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Carol was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Hines. Carol was the devoted wife to the late Gerald Coleman.

Carol graduated from Voorheesville High School and earned a degree from the college of St. Rose. Afterwards she moved to Dillingham, Alaska and taught as a school teacher for 5 years. She returned to New York and taught for 35 years at Voorheesville Elementary, retiring in 2000. Carol loved to teach and after retiring taught part-time and also enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. Carol was an inspiration to everyone she met.

Carol is survived by her children, Jerry and Robert (Jamie); her sister, Mary (Dave) Fredericks; her brother, Robert (Sharon) Hines; and many loving relatives and friends.

A Memorial Celebration of Carol's Life will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Inurnment to take place at a later date.
