Carol A. Goessler

Albany- Carol A. Goessler, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Wendelin Wunsch and Mary Wunsch. Carol was the devoted wife to the late Eugene E. Goessler. They were married 52 years.

After graduating from beauty school, Carol worked as a hairdresser until her retirement.

Carol enjoyed spending time with her entire family as well as her many friends. She had a fond love of traveling with her husband.

Carol is survived by her children, Robert W. (Karen) Goessler, Jeanette M.(Anthony) Lanza, Patricia E. Goessler, Steven E. Goessler, and Brenda Fribourg; grandchildren, Heather (Greg) Odom, Stephanie Lanza, Mark Kornacewicz, Stacey Sargalis, Aaron Goessler, and Zsanette Sargalis; great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Eleanor; sister, Marylou Sawicki; niece, Karen; nephew, Michael; and many friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funeral, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York 12205 on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 5pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday May 2, 2023 at 12pm. Burial will immediately follow the service at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, New York.
