Carol J. Rizzo

Carol J. Rizzo, 58, passed on to eternal life Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Colonie, April 14, 1954 she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Augusta (Maciejewski) Gordiman. She was the beloved wife of 29 years to Mario Rizzo and was the loving Mother of Joy and Michael Rizzo both of Colonie and the sister of the late Alexander Gordiman, Jr.

Carol displayed great love and optimism throughout her life, raising her family and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed the seashore, reading, cooking, picnicking, time babysitting children, and watching "Dog the Bounty Hunter." She will be sorely missed by those who loved and knew her.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Albany County, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in Carol's memory.

Friends may call at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Saturday, June 30, 2012 from 10 to 11am followed by a Memorial Service at 11am. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Carol's cousin, the Reverend Daniel Burk will be officiating.
