LOUDONVILLE – Carol M. DeFelice passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Albany Medical Center after brief illness. Carol was born on October 10, 1950.

She is survived by her estranged father Robert Hofmann and her husband, Thomas DeFelice of 44 years. In addition, Carol is survived by her daughter Michelle (Greg) Alread of Erlanger, Kentucky, Christine (Michael) Jarvis of Queensbury, Kimberly (Donald) MacMillan of Saratoga Springs, and Erica Eichorst of Palmer, Alaska; sister Gail (Mark) Kotecki; grandchildren Brianna and Greg Alread, Jessica Jarvis, Donald, Rebecca and Emily MacMillan, and Casey, Kailah and Nathan Eichorst; mother-in-law Audrey DeFelice; brothers-in-law Robert and Charles DeFelice; Uncle Alfred and Aunt Margie Wright, and several nieces, nephews and many, many friends.

Carol was predeceased by her mother Anne "Nancy" (Lennon) Hofmann; brother Robert Hofmann, father-in-law Carmen DeFelice, Sr., and brother-in-law Carmen DeFelice, Jr.

Carol grew up in Colonie and graduated from Colonie Central High School in 1969. She retired in 2006 after serving 20 years in state service with the Department of Environmental Conservation. Carol was an Active-Life member and Past Recording Secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Shaker Road-Loudonville Fire Department. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Hudson Valley and Hudson Mohawk, and Albany County Volunteer Fire Association. Carol loved going to craft fairs, camping and traveling. She loved her grandchildren and dog, Lacy. She was always there to help other when they needed care.

Carol will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00 am at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in Carol's name.
