NISKAYUNA- Carol A. Romel, 80, passed away on January 31, 2017 at The Capital Living Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre.
Carol was born on December 31, 1936 daughter of the late James and Lillian Queeney in Schenectady.
Carol worked at the Schenectady County Library and had a great love for reading and people. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, James S. Romel; her children, Richard (Joan) Duell, James (Linda) Duell, Anthony Riccio, Joseph Riccio, Michael Ricccio, Kelly Rogers, John (Viola) Riccio, Christopher McCreesh, Joseph Romel; her brother, James T. (Patricia) Queeney, Jr.; sister-in-law, Soula (Mike) Knapp; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Carol was predeceased by her brother, Richard Queeney.
A funeral service to celebrate Carol's life will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 3pm at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, Colonie Chapel, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. Visitation will be held prior to services at the funeral home from 2-3pm.
