Carol Lillian Vogt

January 10, 1954 — February 23, 2021

Troy – Carol Lillian Vogt, 67, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 with her loving family by her side. True to the strength and selflessness she exuded throughout her impactful life, Carol fought valiantly, surrounded by the love and support of her family and friends. Carol was the daughter of the late William and Carol McHargue, and the devoted wife to Robert Vogt. She and Robert were married for 36 loving years filled with unforgettable experiences and dedicated companionship.

Carol was employed as a Data Entry Operator for the state of New York for 30 years. She had an especially green thumb and enjoyed keeping a beautiful garden. Her love for flowers was displayed in the bright hues that decorated her yard and home. A fabulous homemaker, Carol took pride in maintaining a charming and nurturing home, a level of care that she extended to her husband, children, and grandchildren, whom she cared so deeply for. Carol lived to care for others and her boundless heart shone brightly through the cloudiest of days. Well-dressed and put together like a classic novel, Carol was timeless. Her friendly smile and infectious laugh were always accompanied by her favorite shade of red. Carol was class personified and her warmth and beauty will live on in the hearts of all of those who knew and loved her.

Carol is survived by her son, Paul Martell; her daughter, Michelle Martell and her two grandchildren, Marissa Grock and Matthew Jubic, whom she loved as genuinely as her own children. Carol is also survived by her siblings James McHargue, Kip McHargue, Jack McHargue, Diana McDermott and Valerie Turgeon.

Carol was predeceased by her two brothers, Bill "Duke" McHargue and Bobby "Hawk" McHargue.
