GUILDERLAND – Carole Johnston Forte, 72, of Guilderland, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012 in Davenport, Florida.
She was born in Albany and had worked for New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets for over twenty years. Carole was Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary at Voorheesville American Legion Post 1493 and she was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 331.
Carole is survived by her loving husband, Louis C. Forte. She is the beloved mother of Pamella A. (Shane) Chura and Brian K. (Cindy) Forte. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 10:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Gerald B.H. Solomon National VA Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Voorheesville American Legion Post 1483, 31 Voorheesville Ave., Voorheesville, NY 12186 in memory of Carole J. Forte.
