Troy- Caroline A. Church, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 17, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude Church. Caroline was the devoted wife to the late Matthew Cabral.
After raising her family and receiving her GED, Caroline became a LPN in 1986 and worked at Samaritan hospital and other various facilities, providing compassion and care to her patients until her retirement.
Caroline enjoyed spending time with her entire family and loved cooking for them. She was an avid crafter who enjoyed quilting, stamping up and playing Tupperware Bingo. Caroline's favorite thing to do in her free time was spending meaningful time with her beloved grandchildren.
Caroline is survived by her children, Donald A. Church, Christina M. (Jim) Sloan, Wendy L. (Bob) Scriven and Michelle A. Cabral; grandchildren, Corey, Elizabeth, Andrew, Justin, Jonathon, Charles, Courtney, Chelsea, Kelsey and Karley; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Gayle M. (the late William) Rifenburgh, Garry W. (the late Cinderella) Church, and Bruce E. Church; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Caroline is predeceased by her daughters, Lisa D. Rider and Barbara L. Church; siblings, Catherine L. Devlin and Diana F. Camp.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Tuesday September 21, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a funeral service to immediately follow at 7:00 pm. Burial will take place at 11am on Friday September 24, 2021 at Warren Cemetery, Warren Cemetery road, Hoosick falls, NY 12090
The family would like to thank hospice nurses Marsha and Wendy for their compassionate care and support provided to Caroline and her family. They would also like to extend their gratitude to their family friend, Elva Tybush for all she has done for Caroline and her family.
