Caroline Cookingham

ALBANY- Caroline E. Cookingham 92, of Albany, passed way on Wednesday February 28, 2007 at St. Peters Hospital. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Peter and Rose Russo. Caroline was predeceased in 1996 by her husband Harold W. Cookingham.
She had worked for the former A& P Markets, as a waitress at the Gaslight Restaurant on Broadway in Albany and most recently as a member of the Salvation Army. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church.
Caroline is the beloved mother of Harold (Punkin) Cookingham Sr. (Linda) and the late James and Dennis Cookingham. She is the mother in law of Georgianna and Kathy Cookingham. She is the sister of the late Charles Russo, Evangeline Starin, Margaret DelGatto and Eleanor Gahran. Caroline is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday at 9:45 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Newcomerfamily.com
