Guilderland – Carolyn B. Rudesheim Tryon, 69, of Guilderland, passed away suddenly on Saturday July 31, 2010 in Fish Creek Pond Campsite at Upper Saranac Lake.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Fred and Emily Marshall Rudesheim. A lifelong resident of Guilderland, Carolyn was a 1958 graduate of Guilderland High School. She was employed with the Guilderland School District for 33 years. Carolyn was a life member of the Hudson Mohawk Pioneer Gas Engine Association and a member of the Tri-County Power Association, Southern Tier Gas Engine Association and the Christ Child Society at St. Madeleine Sophie Church. She enjoyed camping with her family and collecting angels. She also had several hobbies including reading, arts and crafts and Saturday morning garage sales.
Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Walter J. Tryon Sr.; her children, Walter J Tryon Jr. (Jamie Percuoco) and Diane Tryon (Thomas) LaForte; her cherished granddaughter, Amanda LaForte and her canine grandchildren, Harley, Diesel and Moose. She is the sister of the late Catherine Gates and sister-in-law of William Gates and George E. (Florence) Tryon. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 11:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hannacroix Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial contributions in memory of Carolyn B.
