Watervliet – Carolyn E. Tune, 48, departed this life peacefully on Friday May 9, 2014 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Halifax, VA she is the daughter of Willie Tune Jr. and the late Queen Anne Tune.
Carolyn was employed by the New York State Thruway Authority, where she held many positions during her 32 year career.
In addition to her father, Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory her children, Zhalih Wenoa Hines, Derek E. Hines, Farrakhan Jabril Rahim Allah, and Aveon Lexani Myles; her siblings, Floyd M. (Angela) Tune, Douglas E. (Hazel) Tune and Lawrence L. Tune; her aunts, Geraldine Thompson, Rose Tune and Pearl Tune Owen; and her special cousin Kathy (Larry) Tune. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Albany Medical Center ICU and Strong Medical Center Transplant in Rochester for the extraordinary care and compassion they gave to Carolyn throughout her illness.
Funeral services for Carolyn will be held Thursday May 15th at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Rev. Leonard Frazier will be officiating the services.
