Albany - Cassandra "Sandi" Parson-Clayton. Sunrise January 13, 1954 – Sunset October 9, 2010.
Sandi was born January 13, 1954 at Albany Memorial Hospital in Albany, NY to the late Angeline Evelyn Parson-Jackson and Elijah Cook. She was educated in the Albany Public School system, graduating from Phillip Schuyler High School. She worked for many years as a medical assistant and as a secretary, before finding her true calling which was driving. This satisfied another one of her passions, which was traveling. She drove trucks and motor coaches from coast to coast, finally settling with Metro City Transit in Atlanta, GA. In her free time she had many hobbies. She found creativity in everything from Jewelry, painting, clothing and simple art. Sandi had the energy of 100 people. She had a gift and she had to use it. Sandi would talk and talk and talk, one of her favorite things to talk about were her travels.
She leave to mourn, her children: Sileasha Dewitt and Shamaya Dewitt-Mitchell, grandchildren Kiyattra Thompson and Diamante Thompson, God-daughter Liyanna Long, siblings Tanya Tuggle of Troy, NY, Zellouise Paron of Vista, CA, Linda Parson-Edwards of El Cajon, CA, Stacie Parson-Thompson (Johnny) of Albany, NY and Joseph White of Oceanside, CA. Also, two sons she never had, Terrance Clark (nephew) and Douglas Parson (cousin) as well as special niece and "battle buddy" Dionne Edwards and special friends Connie Brown and Rosie Canty and home health aide Kisha Burton and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Angeline Evelyn Parson-Jackson, step-father George A. Jackson, father Elijah Cook and brother Derrick A. Parson.
