TROY- Catherine A. Metzger, 92, of Troy, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday October 10, 2007.
Catherine was born in Troy and was the daughter of the late Anna Romanoski and Joseph Hanesack. She was predeceased by her husband Walter J. Metzger Sr in 1985.
Catherine was fond of cats and a bird enthusiast. She enjoyed casinos and the Saratoga race track.
Catherine is the beloved mother of Walter J. Metzger Jr. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 9:30 at St. Francis de Sales Church, Troy where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 pm at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
