Catherine C. Zwack

DELMAR. Catherine Concetta Zwack, 55, was welcomed into the gates of heaven on Monday, February 9, 2009 surrounded by her loving family and friends, after a long and courageous battle with Lupus.

Born in Albany, she was the beloved daughter of the late Marian Perrino and Clifton Abston. She graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School in Albany, NY as part of the class of 1972. Cathy was a loving homemaker, cherished wife, mother, and friend to all those who knew her. Cathy loved to dance, cook, write poetry, spend time with family and friends, and watch her favorite movie, The Notebook. Cathy touched each and everyone's heart in a special way with her graceful presence. Her true joy and passion was her endless dedication to her husband and children.

Cathy is the beloved wife of Jesse Zwack, her husband of 28 years, and the devoted mother of her children, Crystal Marian Zwack and Amber Star Zwack. They were her pride and joy. Her children's success and happiness were very important to her. She was truly the wind beneath their wings. Cathy also cherished her two cats, Lilly and Squeaks and her bird, Baby.


The family would like to thank their friends and relatives for providing support and compassion during this difficult time. The family would also like to express their gratitude to Joan, Crystal, and Kate at Albany Medical Center for providing love and prayers during her time of need.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, February 15, 2009 from 4-6 PM and share in a memorial service in celebration of Cathy's life from 6-7 pm, all held at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont, NY on Monday, February 16, 2009 at 1:00 PM. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in memory of Catherine C.
