Catherine Courcelle

BLOOMINGDALE, NY – Catherine Courcelle, 84, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Saranac Lake Hospital. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Bleichert. Catherine resided in Albany for most of her life before moving to Saranac Lake 20 years ago. She was a member for over 30 years of the West Albany Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing and spending summers at camp on Fish Creek. Catherine is the beloved wife of the late Roger E. "Butch" Courcelle. She is the devoted mother of Jerome J. Courcelle of Saranac Lake and the late Dawn DeFelice. She is the loving sister of Ruth Hans and the late Marie Fronk and George and John Bleichert. She is the cherished grandmother of Christopher DeFelice and Hanna and Tanner Courcelle. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
