Catherine E. Larose

Catherine E. (Crowley) LaRose,78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2012. She was the daughter to the late John Crowley and Margaret Davis. Catherine retired after 35 years with the Albany School system. She also enjoyed working with the kids at the teen center in school 19. She enjoyed the simple things in life, especially spending time with her family and grandchildren were the joy of her life. Her kindness, love and childlike quality will be deeply missed by all who truly knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Thomas LaRose; her husband of 55 years, Robert; her sister Elizabeth Crowley, Margaret Bruno and brother-in-law Louis; and brother-in-law Matthew Asprion, and more recently by her brother, John Crowley.
She is survived by her sister, Carol; her half brothers James and Mike; her daughter, Lucy (Mark); her son, Chris (Cindy); granddaughters, Jessica, Megan; grandsons, Robert, Nick and great-granddaughters, Cadence, Arlene and Madison. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday at 12 noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. Calling hours will precede the service from 10 to 12. Interment will follow the service at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
